YOLOtek Enters into Endorsement Agreements with Professional Anglers
Elite Series Angler Casey Scanlon is joined by fellow pro Brandon Coulter as an official backer of the acclaimed company.
SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan. (May 1, 2015) – After earning industry acclaim this spring for their revolutionary new technology-based boating accessories, Kansas City-based company YOLOtek announced today that pro angler Brandon Coulter has joined Casey Scanlon in officially endorsing their products and company.
“We are incredibly honored to have these guys behind us and our products,” said Christian Corley, YOLOtek’s founder and product developer. “Casey has been with us from the beginning and has really been a driving force behind our success, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guy to join him than Brandon. These guys are not only great anglers, but great men, and we’re truly blessed to be teaming up with them in our efforts to bring the fun and excitement of angling to life in new ways.”
The first angler to lend his name and support to YOLOtek after being involved in the product testing from the company’s onset, Scanlon has been making a name for himself in the fishing industry since being invited to join the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2011. Just months later he earned his first career first-place finish, taking the title at the 2012 Bass Pro Shops Central Open at Table Rock Lake outside of Branson, Mo. He has four career top-10 finishes and is one of only 24 Elite Anglers to be part of Major League Fishing, though which he competes against some of the best in the world in a unique, television-friendly format.
“I have loved what YOLOtek has done from the beginning,” Scanlon said. “In less than a year they’ve solved two major problems for us: dead batteries on our devices and limited camera angles. It’s my privilege to help them spread the word about what they’re doing and to get behind their great products.”
Coulter, the so-called “gray-bearded rookie” of the tour, learned about YOLOtek through Scanlon, whom he befriended through competition. Currently in his first year on the Elite Series after transitioning from the FLW Tour, Coulter has one top-10 finish and three in the top 20. Like Scanlon, he also took an instant liking to the YOLOtek products and was happy to lend his name to the company in support.
“As soon as I heard about what YOLOtek was doing, I knew they were on to something big,” Coulter said. “It is products like these that you are happy to endorse because you know how much good they’ll do for anyone who uses them.”
Along with official support from Scanlon and Coulter, YOLOtek has received praise from virtually all anglers who have encountered their products. From the top names in the industry to recreational fishermen, YOLOtek is receiving support from a variety of angles.
“It’s surreal to hear the kind of positive feedback we’re getting,” Corley said. “We knew we were on to something when we started, but we really didn’t know it would take off like it has.
