TIPS ON RECORDING ALL-DAY-LONG WITH ANY GOPRO OR OTHER ACTION CAMERA:

1. SD Card: Make sure you are using a good quality SD card such as, SanDisk Extreme, Samsung, etc. Every camera company will give you a list of approved SD cards. [We HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a name brand card that your camera lists as "Approved". (Such as SanDisk Extreme or some Samsung cards.]

2. Camera settings to record video all-day-long and avoid overheating in most cameras:

A.1080p is the best for recording all-day! [GoPro Hero 12/11 standard setting is 5K/30fps and Hero 10 standard setting is 4K/30fps and can overheat the camera quickly if the right settings are NOT selected. Change resolution to 1080p. [If you want to record in 4K, LIVE STREAMING, HOT DAYS or powering the camera with External Power with the camera battery out... Please see the section below: **4K, LIVE & External Power**]

B. 30fps is the best for recording all-day, especially if the air temp is over 90 degrees. If under 90° consider 60fps for a little slo-mo in post editing.

C. Turn OFF GPS, as GPS can cause overheating.

D. Turn off Video Stabilization if air temp is over 90°.

3. Prepare SD Card Rated for your Camera: If possible, make sure all good video is off the SD card & reformat the SD card twice before starting recording. (If you cannot pull the video off at the moment, you can skip this step.)

If your camera will NOT record all-day-long after using these settings, please call us 800-488-5512 (You may need to reset to factory settings, install new firmware, use a metal case to dissipate heat, pull camera battery out once the video is recoridng (not water resistent), etc. Just call us, we can help!

#1 Question we get:

Should I take the internal battery out of my GoPro Hero 12/11/10 or other action camera?

Answer: NO, not usually. Using the settings above will allow you to record all-day with the battery in. [URGENT: If you want to record in 4K or if you want to LIVE STREAM or record video on HOT DAYS, then we recommend you take the battery out of the camera. See the section... GoPro Hero 12/11/10/Other: 4K, LIVE & Hot Days below.

***HERO 12/11/10 SOLUTIONS***

[Note: GoPro Hero 12 & Hero 11 standard setting is 5K and can overheat quickly. On the Hero 12/11, slide down from top to bottom to bring up your dashboard. Slide right to left to bring to the Preference screen. Notice in the lower left hand corner it says "Controls Easy"... touch that and slide up to change to "Controls Pro". Now on the main screen, you can change to 1080p and add Looping. For more information, please see the video in our How To Videos or contact us.]

GoPro Hero 12, 11 & 10: "NOT ENOUGH POWER" Message is NOT True!

GoPro Hero 12, 11 & 10 current firmware is giving this message because...

#1 You have pulled the battery out of your GoPro Hero 12, 11 or 10 and running from JUICEBANK or many other external power batteries.

#2 The power cord may not be telling GoPro it is compatible.
When this happens, GoPro Hero 12, 11 or 10 says "Connect to a 5V/2A power source" and your camera will shut down. (This is actually NOT true & we made a video & you can try it too. https://yolotek.com/pages/howtovideos)

YOLOtek recommends putting the GoPro battery back in and use the settings above, so your camera will record all-day-long with the battery in. BUT, if you are recording in 4K, LIVE STREAMING or Recording on a HOT DAY, then see the section below. Any questions or issues, please contact us.
