YOLOtek Named Official Power Mount Provider of Major League Fishing
Company’s AquaStickPRO will be used to capture footage in the league’s upcoming events, leading officials to prepare for increased sales.
SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan. (June 30, 2015) – Fresh off its successful showing at the 2015 Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo where its AquaStickPRO was named one of the top 13 new products on the market, Kansas City-based YOLOtek announced today that it has been named the Official Power Mount Provider of Major League Fishing (MLF). As part of the new role, YOLOtek products will be used at MLF upcoming events and by MLF’s elite anglers in competition around the country.
“We’re thrilled to be part of Major League Fishing,” said YOLOtek Founder Christian Corley. “We’ve been fans of the league since it got started, and we consider it to be one of the most exciting sporting bodies in the country. To be connected with them in this capacity is nothing short of monumental for us.”
Major League Fishing originally learned about YOLOtek’s products, which enable anglers to capture video and camera shots securely from a variety of angles at high speeds without losing battery power, through elite angler Casey Scanlon, who has been an official spokesman for YOLOtek since the company was founded in late 2014. Upon hearing about the YOLOtek AquaStickPRO, MLF immediately ordered seven sticks to use in filming the upcoming season of to-be-televised events. When Corley delivered the products to MLF offices in Tulsa, Okla., in June, the league extended the offer to make YOLOtek their Official Power Mount Provider.
“The decision to be associated with them was, of course, a no-brainer,” said Corley, who created the first YOLOtek product at the request of his father and brother—both tournament bass anglers—who needed a way to prevent their phones from losing battery power when they were on the lakes. “It’s not only an opportunity for us to gain exposure, but to really give Major League Fishing a way to create an even more entertaining product for its fans.”
Equally as thrilled about the partnership were the officials at MLF.
“This is a game-changer for Major League Fishing in the way we capture every moment of the action because our onboard GoPro Hero 4 cameras can now run all day without internal camera battery power,” said Major League Fishing Director of Integrated Marketing Jeff Rhoton. “Besides filming for television, we are always looking for new point of views that allow you to watch how the game is played. The AquaSticks are easy to use and are a must for the on-the water weekend warrior.”
In less than a year, YOLOtek has achieved what many companies never do: gaining a loyal, enthusiastic following of influential fans. Among them are a number of elite anglers including Brandon Coulter and Scanlon, who has tested each product and frequently endorses YOLOtek through social media and other events.
